PPD, the clinical research business of Thermo Fisher, has a new opening for a Digital Technology Partnerships Manager/Sr Manager in our Patient First Digital Solutions (PFDS) group. This Manager/Sr Manager plays a pivotal role in connecting our vendors with PPD internal customers, ensuring seamless product alignment and the successful implementation of cutting-edge, patient-centered digital solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to identify, onboard, and sustain strategic digital vendor partnerships in alignment with the Patient First Digital Solutions (PFDS) strategy.
  • Serve as a digital solutions Subject Matter Expert (SME) to evaluate and address enterprise-wide business requirements related to digital products and partnerships.
  • Collaborate with IT, procurement, data privacy, information security, quality assurance, and the vendor management office to ensure successful vendor onboarding and continued vendor compliance.
  • Lead and influence the definition and prioritization of vendor roadmaps product requirements, systems enhancements, and process improvements from user communities by engaging and communicating with key stakeholders for the product areas.
  • Develop and maintain vendor governance documentation including but not limited to charters, playbooks, communication plans, user training, and product demonstrations to ensure thorough understanding and adoption of digital solutions.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
  • Previous experience with decentralized trials (DCT) technology (eCOA, eConsent, wearables, eSource, and patient recruitment products) and/or vendor management, which provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 8+ years’ experience).
  • Familiarity with 21 CFR Part 11 and exposure to FDA, MHRA, and other regulatory agencies is highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of project management experience in delivering process and system improvements in the technology management field highly preferred.
  • In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.

  • Exceptional subject matter expertise in DCT technology and related solutions.
  • Confident self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to effectively address issues and identify solutions.

  • Proficient in influencing cross-functional teams to deliver projects on time.
  • Ability to coordinate and present information in a clear and concise manner.

The salary range estimated for this position is $120,000 - $150,000 USD. This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. Actual compensation will be confirmed in writing at the time of offer.
