We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA), part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort.We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell’s Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell’s High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth,exceptions for alternate work arrangements may be considered.
WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
- At least 5 years of experience in a relevant technical area (e.g. engineering, physics, math, computer science).Advanced degrees will be considered as additional experience.Related degrees with relevant experience will be considered.

Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING AS A DIGITAL THREAD ENGINEER:
- Collaborate across all program teams (including, but not limited to, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, product support, airworthiness, and data management) at a technical level to identify, elaborate, prototype, and implement digital engineering capabilities, including analytical tools, automations, visualizations, and data and system integrations.
- Establish proficiency in Bell’s engineering, manufacturing, and product support processes and associated tools and datasets to maintain enterprise-level awareness of the lifecycle of data, models, and analyses comprising the Digital Engineering ecosystem.
- Leverage understanding of engineering and manufacturing processes to identify opportunities to improve processes and leverage data in new and valuable ways.
- Maintain awareness of state-of-the-art tools and approaches for Digital Engineering, identifying opportunities to insert the technologies into Bell’s processes.
- Document and communicate approach to ensure alignment across teams.
- Provide status updates for major program milestones.
- Coordinate across program integrated project teams, Bell IT, and vendors.
SKILLS YOU BRING TO THIS ROLE:
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, C#, .Net Java, Rust).
- Demonstrated experience writing SQL queries.
- Experience implementing and using RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL.
- Experience with the CAMEO MBSE is preferred.
- Able to prioritize tasks and work assignments.
- Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Be able to build and maintain effective relationships with customers, internal and external suppliers, as well as horizontal integrations across the other teams.
- Have effective and clear communication skills both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated communication skills needed to brief top-level management, customers and/or large groups on an occasional-to-frequent basis.
