Our team of over 20 globally, provide customer focused support to our end-users and other tech teams across multiple business units. Our mission is to ensure optimal workstation performance, whether it’s for desktop, laptop, software, applications, or other devices. As a Digital Workplace Engineer, you’ll be the go-to expert for troubleshooting, maintaining, and upgrading hardware and software. Your main focus will be on supporting and troubleshooting a wide variety of requests, from installing software to fixing connectivity issues. Maintaining both hardware and software to ensure smooth operation will be key, along with providing user training to help our team make the most of their technology. Collaboration is a big part of the role, as you’ll often work with other technical teams and act as the hands and eyes for remote teams.

Other tasks may include:

  • Setting up and checking meeting room equipment.
  • Supporting other internal teams with troubleshooting, onsite upgrades or speaking with customers.
  • Performing on-site analysis to providing invaluable end-user training and advice.
  • Liaising with third-party support providers and ensuring configuration information is up to date.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

We’re looking for someone with strong technical knowledge of PC hardware, Microsoft Windows OS, and the Office suite. Excellent troubleshooting skills and a customer-focused attitude are essential. You’ll need to be adaptable and ready to handle a variety of tasks, from phone support to on-site visits.

LOCATION

In this role you will support a wide range of ABF business units so regular travel to different sites will be required as well as a minimum of once a week at our Peterborough office with some home working available.
