Description:

Overview:
The instructional designer will report to the training manager. The instructional designer analyzes, designs and develops learning strategies to support a remarkable patient experience using a wide range of learning formats, including instructor led, distance and computer based education. Analyzes education needs and develops blended learning solutions for a healthcare audience for the assigned application(s). This role requires collaborative, consultative relationships and effective communication with stakeholders and customers. Master EPIC application(s) and organization specific workflows for their specific application area. Build, test, and maintain the training environment for their application(s) area(s), including practice exercises. Qualifications:

  • Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, required. 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum five years of experience in healthcare or clinical informatics, requried. Healthcare education, preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification : Epic certifications for assigned applications will be required AFTER time of hire required. Training Environment Proficiency will be required AFTER time of hire required.
  • Additional Skills (required):
  • Demonstrated knowledge of current local, federal and state regulatory and governing standards for Learning and Development.
  • Speed to Market: Effectively works in a fast-paced work environment to deliver results
  • World Class: Knowledgeable about HR best practices and future trends in healthcare and in industry.
  • Problem Solving: Strong analytical, critical thinking and creative problem-solving skills
  • Digital Fluency: Proficiency with virtual meetings and Microsoft Office 365, specifically Power Point, Excel and Teams. Maintain Epic certification(s) for application(s) assigned. Demonstrate ability to learn and use advanced authoring tools, and other innovative training solutions for product and process training.
  • Highly Effective Communicator: Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, appropriately and inclusively with key stakeholders at all levels. Provide communication that will contribute to and establish a climate of trust and respect to all customers.
