JOB SUMMARY:

A Server will provide the highest level of dining services to our residence and guests.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 years of fine dining floor experience
  • Smart serve certification
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Previous working experience with seniors an asset
  • Must be able to speak English fluently and be able to read and write in basic English

Responsibilities:

  • Set and clean tables, serving counters and the dining area according to type of event and service standards.
  • Take orders, including any modifications, answer enquiries and communicate orders to kitchen.
  • Serve food and beverage to our residents and guests.
  • Know all the residents’ dietary requirements and preferences.
  • Ability to understand and follow-out orders to serve the food correctly and according to specified modification
  • Provide high level dining services to our residents according to the company’s standard.
  • Clean table bases, chairs, and vacuum dining room floor.
  • Practice and maintain established standards for cleanliness and sanitation required by the Health Department.
  • Promote and maintains positive communication and relationships among staff, residents, and their guests.
  • Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages. Pick-up trays and clean tables as needed to ensure a clean dining area.
  • Establish and maintain an atmosphere conducive to pleasant dining by creating an environment which maintains the enjoyment, self respect, dignity and physical safety of each resident.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
