JOB SUMMARY

JOB DESCRIPTION

The team provide governance advice and guidance to stakeholders in support of data management along with managing the data held within master systems of record to enable the organisation to have trust in the data used in decision making by our customers. The data programme for DIO is owned and maintained by the Data Governance team, on behalf of the business, to prioritise the data DIO collects, in alignment with the DIO strategic direction.
The team is responsible for ensuring the data held within the master systems of record is maintained, proactively identifying continuous improvement activity required to improve the quality and completeness of information and data.
The Data Exploitation (DEx) Data Governance team leads on the delivery of data in support of projects for Defence customers. The Data Governance Team provides specialist support to data projects including engagement with cross government projects. The team provides specialist independent data assurance and SME advice on data standards along with processing changes to the master systems of record through the BAU change process. The team are also responsible for owning and maintaining the data programme in support of the key strategic objectives.

Where business needs allow, some roles may be suitable for a combination of office and home-based working. This is a non-contractual arrangement where all office-based employees will be expected to spend a minimum of 60% of their working time in office, subject to capacity and any required workplace adjustments. Requirements to attend other locations for official business, or work in another MOD office, will also count towards this level of attendance. The post does not offer relocation expenses.
