JOB SUMMARY

The Director, Digital Platform and Partner Strategy, is responsible for collaborating with enterprise architecture and data teams to drive and deliver against strategic business and digital goals. This role focuses on managing digital platforms, making informed platform decisions in partnership with IT, and fostering strategic partnerships to align technology capabilities with business objectives.
Reporting to the Chief Digital and Client Experience Officer (CDXO), this role ensures that digital platforms are scalable, efficient, and support digital transformation and innovation. The Digital Platform Director provides technical guidance from both an enterprise and solution perspective, ensuring seamless integration of new digital products and solutions with existing infrastructure, hardware, and operating systems.
This role ensures a scalable and strategic digital foundation, aligning platform capabilities and enterprise architecture with business growth and transformation goals.”

MINIMUM EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:

10+ years of digital platform and/or software engineering experience

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Proven ability to translate customer and business needs into product and platform solutions that deliver results.
  • Extensive experience in the technology sector with deep understanding of digital engagement systems and platforms.
  • Experience in platform management and maintenance, and solution architecture.
  • Experience with financial services industry preferred.
  • Experience working in Scrum/Agile preferred.
  • Experience with platform monitoring, tooling and strong understanding of observability and using telemetry to inform decision making.

Responsibilities:

  • Implements and manages platform strategies that align and support overall business goals and enterprise architecture / development standards. Ensures platforms solutions are scalable, resilient, and adaptable to support multiple product teams and enterprise growth.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with third-party platform providers, influencing roadmaps to align with future business needs. Advocates for platform enhancements that support strategic goals and digital maturity
  • Monitors platform and architecture performance, ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and operational standards. Mitigates risks associated with third-party technologies and architectural decisions
  • Promotes reusability of components and solutions to reduce technical debt and ensure consistent customer experiences. Facilitates cross-team collaboration to optimize platform utilization and avoid redundancy.
  • Provides ready-to-use technology components and architectural patterns to accelerate development and deployment. Drives adoption of emerging technologies and best practices to support continuous innovation and agility.
  • Manages the annual performance management and merit processes for direct and indirect reports. Coaches and develops team members and builds a work environment where team members are engaged and feel a positive sense of achievement about their role in the company. Works closely with Human Resources regarding employee relations, compensation, training, posting and filling vacant positions and other Human Resources related matters.
  • Each team member is expected to be aware of risk within their functional area. This includes observing all policies, procedures, laws, regulations and risk limits specific to their role. Additionally, they should raise and report known or suspected violations to the appropriate Company authority in a timely fashion.
