HIT has multiple openings in their Day Programs for Direct Support Professionals.Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) are tasked with delivering direct assistance to individuals participating in Day Services programs. The core aim of this position is to maintain a steady delivery of active treatment that corresponds closely with the goals outlined in each individual’s Service Plan.

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure fulfillment of all contracts.
  • To maintain a safe and hazard-free environment, including proper maintenance of all equipment. This includes proper cleanliness, following and reporting hazards and following all safety procedures, including enforcement of use of protective equipment.
  • To ensure that the quality of all production/produce work is established and maintained at a high standard.
  • To conceive and create new products that can be built or assembled by the individuals we serve for retail or wholesale delivery.
  • To train people in services on all aspects of contract work to facilitate in the development of their skills
    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
    Requires knowledge and skillequivalent to the completion of a high school diploma. Preference is given to candidates with work experience in the field of developmental disabilities.
