REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field or in lieu of degree 12 more years of experience in business management and P&L.
• 7 or more years of experience in management and customer service.
• Successful in managing/leading others, working in a manufacturing/unionized environment.
• Collective bargaining negotiation experience .
• Successful in managing a P&L for a business or portion of a business.

DESIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES :

• Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field
• Consumer tire sales/systems and end-user sales experience
• Proven leadership skills
• Business acumen
• Ability to develop relationships
• French written and verbal communication skills required, and English written and verbal communication skills an asset(and French if applicable)
• Strong administrative, time management, analytical, project management, delegation and computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Basic equipment operation skills
• Strong teamwork/coaching skills
• Sound judgment and decision-making ability
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

• Plan/Prepare/Maintain business plans, monitor the targets set forth in the business plan and adjust the plans (as necessary).
• Oversee plant operations and the plant’s ability to retread tires.
• Initiate/Develop/Maintain relationships with existing and potential new dealer associates and end-users.
• Manage labor (if applicable) and employee relations.
• Adhere to and enforce respective collective agreements (if applicable) or company policies/procedures.
• Set/Maintain appropriate staffing levels that are necessary for the continuous operation of the plant.
• Provide solutions to day-to-day staffing issues (i.e., associate attendance, personal problems, associate performance, etc.)
• Manage raw material costs (via proper inventory levels, monthly inventory checks and forecasting).
• Analyze maintenance and/or mechanical issues, gather information regarding the issue and set a schedule for maintenance.
• Comply with all applicable legislation, government regulations and ISO standards.
• Promote health and safety in the plant.
