ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a highly skilled Director, Legal to join our legal team and lead a critical portion of our activities. This role is pivotal in providing expert legal counsel and strategic advice across various facets of our business operations, with a strong focus on complex problem solving, general corporate matters, commercial contracts, data protection and privacy laws, corporate governance, employment laws, and legal risk management and compliance. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience in technology and SaaS companies, demonstrating a deep understanding of commercial transactions, technology law, and regulatory compliance.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Lead, draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including enterprise software as a service contracts, partnership agreements, vendor contracts, and other business agreements.
Ensure the company’s compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, particularly in areas such as data protection and privacy laws, ensuring compliance with global regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant data privacy frameworks, intellectual property, and cybersecurity Lead efforts in M&A transactions.
Provide strategic legal counsel on corporate governance matters, including compliance with corporate policies.
Oversee and manage litigation matters, working closely with external counsel as necessary, to resolve disputes effectively and efficiently.
Advise on a broad range of employment law matters.
Conduct legal research and analysis on complex issues impacting the technology and SaaS industry, and provide practical solutions and recommendations.
Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the legal team. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Product Development, and Strategy to mitigate legal risks and support business objectives.
Manage and oversee external legal counsel as necessary, ensuring cost-effective and high-quality legal services.
