JOB DESCRIPTION:
TD Asset Management (TDAM), a member of TD Bank Financial Group, is a leading North American investment manager offering investment solutions to both institutional and individual investors. For over two decades, the organization has established competitive market positions in active, quantitative and passive portfolio management. As of March 31, 2024, TDAM and its affiliates manage over $427 billion in assets on behalf of pension, insurance, endowment/foundation, and corporate clients, as well as high-net worth clients and retail mutual funds.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Accountable for growth and performance within TD Private Investment Counsel and Private Investment Advice Wealth channels. This role requires leading, developing and managing a team of Vice President, Relationship Managers, Relationship Managers and Business Development Managers to help grow TDAM’s footprint
- Develops and shares ongoing industry-wide best practices around sales, marketing, portfolio construction and business development
- Works collaboratively with OneTD partners to maximize distribution effectiveness and provide a seamless client experience
- Stays current on markets, regulations and industry changes
- Develops strong Centers of Influence within the industry
- Provides input on the development of annual sales targets, performance criteria, reward and recognition programs, compensation programs and key performance indicators
- Acts as primary escalation point for significant sales matters and exceptions
- Enhances the TDBG brand by participating in networking events
- Actively refers to other business partners both within Wealth and across TD
- Upholds and ensures team are knowledgeable of corporate and industry sales practices
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- University degree
- Preference given to industry accreditations (CFA, CIM, CFP, FCSI)
- 10+ years of industry sales experience
- In-depth knowledge of both asset management and wealth management industries
- Strong interest in capital markets, portfolio construction and business development
- Excels in a sales environment
- Effective presentation and communication skills
