Description:
OVERVIEW
DaVita is looking for a Director to support DaVita Integrated Kidney Care (DaVita IKC). DaVita IKC is the renal population health management division of DaVita serving approximately 80,000 end stage renal disease (ESRD) and late stage chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients across the U.S. A key component of DaVita’s integrated care strategy is our healthcare analytics team, responsible for developing and communicating data analytics and reporting to inform the design, performance, and deployment of our care model.
As a Director on this team, you will be responsible for developing and executing on the strategic priorities for reporting and analytics designed to enable Nephrology Practice partnership and performance. This entails creating and executing analytic plans, overseeing the design and development of reporting tools, managing manager and analyst teammates, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. You will apply your technical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills to aggregate and transform data, synthesize findings, and effectively communicate results. Successful candidates will demonstrate knowledge of process mapping and project management, relational database concepts, ability to use visualization tools to create reporting for various audiences, and strong problem solving skills.
This Director will partner with a diverse set of teammates and cross-functional teams within IKC and DaVita to identify, prioritize, and fulfill reporting and analytic needs to support provider partners.
This role can be considered for remote/hybrid, but onsite is preferred.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Master’s degree, preferably in business, public health, health informatics, analytics, math, statistics, computer science, or a related field
- 3+ years managing a reporting and analytics team
- 3+ years of experience using SQL and relational databases
- Experience using data to create reporting deliverables
- Experience using Tableau or other data visualization tools
- Experience in healthcare claims analytics, and knowledge of medical claims terminology preferred

Responsibilities:
The following reflects general roles and responsibilities but are not meant to be comprehensive:
- Design and execute process maps and project plans that coordinate efforts across multiple collaborating teams (operations, IT, compliance, finance)
- Sponsor development of reports and analytics to assess performance of clinical and financial outcomes of IKC programs over time
- Monitor clinical and financial outcomes of various programs and initiatives and communicate key takeaways to executive leaders and other stakeholders
- Partner with Clinical, Operations, and Central teams to design, build, and enhance reports that support collaborative population management
- Use technical knowledge to identify innovation areas for reporting, including process improvement/automation, documentation, training, etc
- Manage a team of managers and analysts; provide leadership and support through project management, prioritization, problem solving, coaching and professional development
- Research industry standards and guidelines to inform approach and execution of analyses
- Gain knowledge of healthcare concepts, including a robust understanding of kidney disease, claims and billing guidelines, and fundamentals of integrated care
