YOUR BACKGROUND
We’re not just looking for hard skills: We’re looking for people who bring their passion and talent to work.
- Degree in Life Sciences (with specialization in Genomics is a must), with further education in Sales and Marketing or an MBA.
- Over 10 years of experience in life sciences, with a strong focus on genomics (ideally both reagents and automation).
- Excellent track record in managing diverse and geographically dispersed teams directly and indirectly as well in a matrix organization.
- Proven experience in marketing, product management, and sales leadership in the life science sector.
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to close complex B2B contracts.
- Strong communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
- Fluency in English; additional languages like German are advantageous.
- A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to lead in multi-site locations.

Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and drive the Genomics vision and segment strategy
- Create the future workflows/application solutions and products;
- Drive the prioritization of R&D projects within Segment.
- Coordinate activities across Business Units and lead the segment strategy
- Manage the Genomics product portfolio and oversee sales in a matrix organization.
- Ensure revenue and profitability targets are met for assigned products.
- Identify M&A targets and participate in due diligence processes.
- Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for Genomics within the Life Science Division.
- Manage strategic partnerships and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).
- Develop and mentor team members to achieve targets and to enhance their capabilities and promote Tecan values.
- Report out to senior management on core activities and segment performance.
- Stay abreast of industry developments and incorporate relevant innovations
