JOB SUMMARY:

Provides management and strategic oversight of Vail Resorts’ domestic benefit programs with an emphasis on providing a competitive, cost-conscious and highly relevant suite of offerings for employees. Responsible for ensuring efficient benefits administration, compliance, and oversight to benefits-related budgets and cost analysis. In partnership with our benefit broker, negotiates major third-party contracts related to benefits administration.

Responsibilities:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops and implements benefits programs in alignment to our corporate vision and strategy.
  • Responsible for compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and alignment with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leads administration of benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, accident, critical illness, employee assistance, and 401(k).
  • Partners with the Director of Wellness to support our wellness strategy and assesses programs to ensure positive outcomes.
  • Prepares materials for periodic meetings of the 401(k) Administrative and Fiduciary Committees.
  • Leads the presentation of various major benefits-related initiatives to key stakeholders and employees.
  • In partnership with Employee Communications, leads change management strategy related to employee benefits.
  • Performs horizon scanning for regulations that impact employee benefits.
  • Serves as primary point of contact with benefits consultants, actuaries, insurers, and third-party administrators.
