As the Director, Business Consulting (DBC), you will have senior responsibility for leading the entire life cycle of sales and delivery for a portfolio of consulting projects for the Financial Management Sector (FMG) of our International Affairs (IAF) business unit.
The ideal candidate will have experience with strategy consulting and the delivery side of projects and is comfortable being the leader on the team while working with customers. We are looking for the best and brightest to a lead client facing team to support IT trans
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office with work performed at client site in Arlington, VA; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable.
Your future duties and responsibilities
- Lead project delivery: You will ensure successful delivery of projects across the sector, working closely with leads. You will be responsible for managing existing projects and play a key role in developing and executing client development plans to grow our work.
- As the Director, Business Consulting you be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients while developing business with new clients. Also, to ensure a high quality of services delivered to assigned clients you will participate in the delivery of client engagements and lead and manage delivery teams to achieve client satisfaction and targeted revenue and profitability.
- Own the client experience from proposal to delivery, ensuring successful project execution and high client satisfaction.
- Develop and execute a strategic client growth plan to secure new business and expand existing accounts within the portfolio.
- Lead proposals and evolve solution offerings to ensure CGI delivers best-in-class solutions
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Results-oriented business leader with a solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, planning, P&L’s, and strategic pricing models.
- 8+ years of experience in consulting services.
- Proven track record of business development and client relationship management, from ground-level project teams up to C-level executives. In the areas of business and strategic consulting (e.g., CFO advisory, CIO Advisory, AI Advisory, OCM) is preferred.
- Experience with delivery or business development within Department of State (DoS), (preferred).
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in leading medium to large IT services business
- Minimum of 5 years of experience defining, selling, and delivering business and information technology solutions (preference: Department of State experience)
- A minimum of 5 years of experience managing a P&L within a consulting organization (or a significant management role within a practice) with a focus on both sales and delivery.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and license and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $125,500.00 - $271,800.00.
