Job Description
As a Director, Business Development, you will help build our customer portfolio towards large payments & tech players as well as smaller startups. You will work closely with both existing accounts together with those account teams to introduce new and innovative solutions and identify new potential customers where you drive the end-to-end relationship. You will be a crucial member of the team and will help to design and execute the team’s sales and growth strategy. As an expert in open banking, you will challenge, guide and lead our client’s transformation in terms of user onboarding and account-to-account payments. You will take ownership of a pipeline and drive large deals to the finish line while meeting the financial plan, and continuously collaborate with account managers and the delivery team to ensure a smooth transition into implementation and account management.
Furthermore, you will work closely with our Product, Solutions, Strategy and Marketing teams as well as existing account teams to ensure successful sales. To be successful in this role you will need to be an expert in stakeholder management on different levels across the organization, in a global environment. In this role, you need to be a strong networker with the ability to be a trusted advisor to our customers. You will be a part of selling solutions to some of the largest financial institutions in the world to drive innovation for consumers to create the next generation of financial services.
Responsibilities:
- Become a domain expert in your area to build a network and become a trusted advisor to leading merchants and fintechs
- Build a customer portfolio by driving sales activities in the US
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders at potential customers
- Lead workshops and meetings with key customers to identify customer needs to match them with Visa offerings
- Plan and drive the sales process from initial contact all the way to signature
- Build brand awareness, plan and lead marketing activities for the US and co-drive successful marketing projects together with the Marketing team
- Represent Visa at conferences and other public speaking events
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
