YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) is required. Education or background in Compliance, Legal, Accounting or other relevant field is preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience, preferably in healthcare environment and the pharmaceutical industry, with minimum of 3 years in compliance/risk related role
  • Strong business acumen and extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
  • Robust understanding of local pharma industry and applicable laws and regulations and industry codes as well as understanding of or interest in other compliance subject matters
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and processes
  • Experience in conducting risk assessments, monitoring
  • Experience in managing, developing and conducting training
  • Experience in corporate compliance topics (anti-corruption and anti-bribery)
  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability in participating and leading cross-functional teams, excellent skills in leading without authority, negotiating and managing through influence
  • Demonstrate ability to take on large projects involving multiple stake holders, multi-task, and work independently
  • Ability to think strategically and tackle complex problems
  • Strong communication and presentation skills – written and oral. Ability to develop, train and deliver compelling presentations to varied audiences
  • Strong executive presence and ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity and ability to identify trends/patterns, excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to identify, advise on, minimize business risks, and propose practical solutions
  • Strong customer-orientation; an ability to see issues from the point of view of others
  • Ability to work successfully and cooperatively with colleagues across multiple cultures and time-zones, in a fast-paced environment
  • English/French bilingual preferred
  • Business travel will be required for some projects (approximately 10%)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, drive, and manage all aspects of Teva Canada commercial entity’s compliance program, with a particular emphasis on:
  • Code of Conduct
  • Anti-corruption and anti-bribery
  • Industry Codes
  • Healthcare compliance
  • Corporate compliance (privacy, conflicts of interest, trade sanctions, transparency, etc.)
  • Lead projects at the regional level under the RCO
  • Manage the process of ensuring that core elements of an effective compliance program are implemented and working as designed across both Commercial and TGO functions
  • Implement and update compliance policies, procedures and processes
  • Perform risk-assessments
  • Develop and implement a Compliance monitoring plan. Regularly inform local management teams about monitoring results and ensure adequate remediation and action items
  • Support relevant Compliance Committees and ensure regular meetings as a key body for Compliance risk assessment and mitigation
  • Perform review/approval of promotional/non-promotional materials in line with established SOPs
  • Support Global Compliance & Integrity initiatives, support investigations, etc.
  • Conduct training as necessary or required
  • Provide compliance advice
  • Champion Teva’s Values, Principles, and Code of Conduct
  • Review, approve, and monitor activities involving healthcare professionals (HCPs), healthcare organizations (HCOs), patient organizations (POs), government officials (GOs)
  • Manage Third Party Due Diligence with stakeholders
  • Assess, monitor, and remediate compliance risk
