Description:

CGI is seeking an experienced IT leader with demonstrated business development experience in the health and health insurance industries to assume the role of Director, Consulting Services (DCS) for CGI’s Atlantic Metro market. This is a key leadership position responsible for business growth and the delivery of IT consulting services to CGI clients in Atlantic Canada.
The DCS has overall accountability for their assigned client portfolio, including client relationships, business development, service delivery outcomes, team management, and operations management. In this role, you will build and foster relationships with clients and other key CGI stakeholders in the health and health insurance industries, identify business development opportunities, support solutioning, capture the sale, and direct the ongoing delivery of the associated engagements.
Reporting directly to the CGI Vice President of Atlantic Metro, the DCS will join a talented and dedicated CGI Atlantic Metro leadership team, responsible for developing and executing our strategy for our Atlantic region stakeholders, including clients, partners, shareholders, and the Atlantic communities in which we live. This position will be based out of a CGI Atlantic location (NS, NB or PEI).
Responsibilities:
YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the client account executive for health and health insurance clients, assuming overall responsibility for client relationship management.
- Lead business development activities for existing and prospective clients, driving client proposals and presentations.
- Be accountable for the overall service delivery and consulting outcomes for client engagements.
- Demonstrate knowledge of clients’ business and industry verticals (challenges, trends, opportunities, emerging offerings).
- Work closely with the sector Vice President on strategic planning, go-to-market activities, and service portfolio expansion.
- Participate in business case solutioning and associated financial modeling.
- Draft and review new and existing contracts and SOWs.
- Manage the financial aspects of client engagements (budgeting, forecasting, revenue inputs, expense allocations, margins, client invoices, etc.).
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline and assist with sourcing new talent.
- Expand CGI’s local and global ecosystem of external, third-party partners and suppliers.
- Lead, performance manage, develop, and motivate a multi-disciplined team of professional IT consultants.
- Actively participate in and champion team participation in local community events and initiatives.
- Collaborate with other CGI sectors and global teams to deliver high-value services and offerings.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE
- An existing network of Atlantic-based IT professionals and community leaders.
- Strong sales and business development experience.
- A degree in Business or Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in the IT consulting industry.
- 5+ years in an IT consulting leadership role.
- Experience in the Health or Health Insurance sector and/or direct experience with healthcare professionals is a strong asset.
- Exceptional relationship-building and networking skills.
- Strong executive-level communication and presentation skills, both written and oral.
- Ability to convey complex and abstract IT concepts in business terms to a broad audience.
- A self-starter who is action-oriented and detail-focused.
