About this opportunity
We currently have a phenomenal opportunity to join our corporate and institutional debt (CIDT) team working on a range of exciting and high-profile transactions.
CIDT is responsible for the origination and execution of loan facilities for large corporate and institutional clients. The team will transact a large volume of debt financings, ranging in complexity from amendments to mergers & acquisitions, as well as support ongoing credit events within the portfolio.
You’ll have a sector focus and will also support transactions outside of these sectors. You’ll work closely with coverage colleagues to ensure proactive origination and client engagement around debt strategies and opportunities, as well as responsibility for leading and delivering sophisticated transactions. There will also be a requirement to build and maintain an external network to support our origination strategy.
This is a leadership role with responsibility to support the development of the CIDT team, build relationships with clients, coverage, credit, product partners, delivery, and to help build the profile of the business.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Own the delivery of the wider CIDT business plan.
  • Drive successful origination and execution of debt transactions. Leading the process from idea/pitch stage through client and credit discussions, legal documentation and completion.
  • Develop and utilise external profile with professional advisors (lawyers, corporate finance and diligence providers) as well as maintaining positive relationships with key partners.
  • Deal Leadership – influencing/collaborating to drive a successful transaction.
  • Deal Execution – quality credit analysis, process management, documentation negotiation and legal process.
  • Performance management and potential for line management of junior colleagues, improving processes and implementing wider team takeaways.
