We are now searching for Director, Corporate Risk Management and Facilities to lead and develop Valmet’s enterprise risk management processes and global facility guidance to the next level. This is a new position as we are currently in the process of renewing and strengthening the team by combining the risk management and facilities responsibilities under the same team. In this position, you will lead Valmet’s Corporate Risk Management and Facilities team, which is part of Group Treasury. You will have a key role in developing global risk management processes and tools, crisis management procedures and global facility guidance to support strategy and decision-making.
Director, Corporate Risk Management and Facilities will report to VP, Treasury and the position is located at Valmet’s head office in Keilaniemi Espoo.

As a Director, Corporate Risk Management and Facilities, your main responsibilities are:

  • Risk management
  • Group wide Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) in Valmet
  • Risk assessment process & risk map
  • Risk management related instructions and guidance
  • Crisis management procedures and related instructions
  • Consolidated risk reporting for management
  • Global insurance management (together with Manager, Insurances)
  • Continuous development of risk management practices, processes and tools in Valmet
  • Leading internal ERM network within Valmet and cooperating closely with other functions such as HSE, IT, Sustainability and Internal Audit
  • Facilities
  • Facility cost management
  • Ensure compliance with Facilities policies and guidelines
  • Global facility guidance, including facility investments
  • Manage Land & Building lease
  • Control and develop Valmet’s global real estate and facility footprint

To succeed in this role, you have:

  • Master’s degree in Law or equivalent
  • Minimum of 10+ years of experience in enterprise risk management risk management in a global environment
  • Deep understanding and knowledge of global insurance programs and loss prevention programs
  • Ability to understand broader business and operational models in global environment
  • Experience in global real estate activities, including global cost management
  • Solid experience in working as a line manager
  • Proven track record in leading successfully development projects including change management activities
  • Good problem-solving and decision-making capability
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills in English and Finnish
  • A proven track record of influencing and negotiating
  • Strong team working mindset and result oriented with can-do attitude
  • Ability to work independently, be flexible and adapt to changing situations and timetables
  • Experience to work in multicultural matrix organization, build-up and maintain relations across multiple regions and areas
  • Willingness and ability to travel from time to time
