Description:

At ATB, we exist to make it possible for our clients, team members and communities. Our purpose is more than aspirational. It’s a real commitment we live every day through our values (what we call the ATB ID).
Life at ATB is about more than work. In fact, we’re consistently recognized as one of Canada’s top employers thanks to our high-care, high-performance culture, upheld by the three commitments we make to our team members:
Impact in action: No matter where you are in the organization, you’re empowered to make an impact in the lives of our clients and communities.

Ready for tomorrow: We want to enable your success through interesting and challenging work, performance enablement, and learning and development.
About the role
As ATB’s next Director, Credit Oversight you will be part of a team that conducts systematic reviews of credit portfolios, analyzing credit quality to determine the accuracy of risk identification in the portfolio as well as the adequacy of documentation, administration, policies, and procedures. Reporting to the Associate Vice President, Credit Strategy and Governance, the Director, Credit Oversight supports the independent assessment of the effectiveness of ATB’s credit risk management processes. As a second line of defense accountability, the review of loans is credit quality based, and provides an independent view of the overall quality of the borrower and associated risks. Credit Oversight ensures the control practices within areas of designated authorities, underwriting, collateral and overall credit quality are being carried out at an acceptable level in accordance with ATB’s credit policies, business rules and sound credit granting principles to ensure ATB credit assets are well managed and protected. This group is responsible for providing objective assurance via reporting to identify all significant credit risk trends and ensure they are being well managed and controls are effective and efficient.
