The dsm-firmenich Data and AI Unit plays a pivotal role in ensuring that data is managed as a strategic asset, driving informed decision-making and fostering innovation across the organization.
Are you a visionary leader in data governance and data management, with a passion for transforming data into actionable insights? We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director Data Governance to pioneer our global Data Governance program and bring innovation and progress to life within our organization.
In this role you will play a pivotal role in shaping the way we handle, govern, and enhance our data assets. You will lead a team of dedicated data professionals and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive our global strategic data governance initiatives.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and lead an engaged and collaborative Data Governance team by coaching, providing feedback and investing in the growth and development of team members.
  • Foster a high performance culture including performance management of team members.
  • Facilitate the development and implementation of a comprehensive data strategy, data governance framework and data operating model.
  • Create a robust vision on a central data platform that is aligned with business objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance and adherence to regulatory requirements as well as data strategy and data architecture alignment.
  • Guide and support data domain leaders across Business Units and Business Platforms in defining and implementing their data domain, sub-domains, data strategy and data governance (e.g. data ownership, roles and responsibilities and processes).
