Your Tasks
- As Director in our Debt & Capital Advisory team, you proactively develop creative solutions for transformative (“event”) financings – e.g. acquisition financings, pre- or post-IPO financings, or major refinancings. In doing so, you work closely with our M&A and sector teams, supporting the strategic dialogue with our clients.
- You coordinate pitch books for various types of situations, such as event financings, debt advisory mandates, and multi-product solutions (e.g., bonds, loans, equity and hedging solutions, M&A topics) to win new mandates through compelling client presentations and by taking responsibility for clients in specific sectors, including building and maintaining strategic relationships at C-level.
- Being a Deal Captain, you take charge of event financings confidently and proactively – including cross-departmental coordination, always keeping all risks in mind. Situations range from investment grade to high-yield and corporate as well as highly structured / project financing solutions.
- During ongoing transactions, you are the key point of contact for our clients, working closely with colleagues from relationship management and the senior product representative(s) to ensure seamless coordination.
- You lead debt advisory projects from the pitching phase up until closing of the transaction, thereby being the first point of contact for the client as well as other internal and external parties (including potential investors).
- You are also involved in preparing and coordinating internal approval documents as well as negotiating term sheets, mandate letters, and loan documentation – sometimes on behalf of clients with other banks on debt advisory mandates.
- Beyond that, you actively contribute to the development and coaching of team members within and outside the D&CA team, while also being directly responsible for achieving your team’s annual P&L budget.
Your Profile
- Above-average master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a comparable field
- Longstanding, profound professional experience (including project management) with a proven track record of outstanding performance in a transaction-based environment
- Multiple years of practice in actively coordinating and managing event financings and debt advisory mandates
- In-depth knowledge of markets and products, particularly in M&A, debt / loan capital markets as well as equity capital markets
- Entrepreneurial mindset, excellent analytical skills and strong competencies in planning, organisation, and problem-solving
- Team player with good judgement, a proactive approach, courage to innovate, enthusiasm, and self-motivation
- Fluency in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages
