About the team
Our M&A Transaction Services team works closely with our clients across the M&A lifecycle to deliver due diligence insights, financial analytics, bid defence and support, advice on transaction related accounting and tax matters, IPO support and reviewing sale and purchase agreements. Our team turns clients’ frustration into assurance with sophisticated, technology-enhanced and tailored M&A advice. Our clients include private and listed corporates across Asia Pacific, global enterprises and market-leading private equity firms.
We take a collaborative and innovative approach to due diligence – working with the firm’s vast range of specialist expertise and through its leading-edge data analytics platform iDeal, we are able to deliver multi-disciplinary insights to our clients, adding value every step of the way.
What will your typical day look like?

Responsibilities:

Lead the delivery of financial due diligence engagements, as well as preparation of data-centric analysis and dashboards;
Be part of a growing team that is passionate about developing you and your career in M&A Transaction Services;
Partner with leading clients to execute complex transactions;
Mentor and coach teams of talented M&A practitioners;
Develop long-lasting relationships with private equity and corporate clients;
Quickly develop a deep understanding of businesses through analysis of historical trading, quality of earnings, cash flow, working capital, net debt, capital expenditure, forecasts and underlying assumptions and drivers of business performance;
Work directly with the Partners in more complex areas of the transaction with direct exposure to sale agreements;
Oversee reporting on potential key opportunities and issues for our clients, including identification of risk or price factors impacting investment decisions as well as areas of opportunity;
Assist the Partners with, and separately lead, business development, proposals and client events; and
Set yourself a career path with clear and honest visibility around progression with the opportunity to develop deep industry specialisation with support to become a market leader in an industry you are passionate about.

You are a driven, ambitious and talented accounting / finance professional with:
Structured thinking style with focus on detail to support financial analysis required in a complex transaction;
Experience in performing and leading financial due diligence assignments in a transaction environment;
Exposure to or interest in the broader deal/ transaction process or M&A lifecycle
Experience in a finance team (controllers, FP&A, etc.), audit, assurance, financial due diligence or corporate finance;
Sound understanding of accounting principles and concepts;
Highly effective written and verbal communication skills and a dedication to teamwork;
Coaching, mentoring and team management skills;
Sound understanding of accounting principles and concepts; and
Natural aptitude to problem solving
