Description:
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 7 – 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus in Employee Relations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement employee relations strategies that align with organizational goals
- Experience in a multi-location organization, preferably in healthcare, veterinary services, or a similar industry
- In-depth knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, EEO, and other federal, state, and local employment laws
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization
- Significant experience directly handling and providing guidance on a variety of human resources compliance matters required
- Proven track record of delivering pragmatic solutions to employee relations problems and resolving disputes effectively and efficiently
- Proven experience in managing complex employee relations issues and conducting workplace investigations
Responsibilities:
- Work cross-frunctionally to develop and execute a comprehensive employee relations strategy aligned with NVA GP’s mission, values, and business objectives.
- Mitigate NVA GP’s employee relations risks, rolling out new initiatives, and managing all employee relations matters.
- Establish clear protocols for handling employee concerns, investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Collaborate with HR Compliance and Legal teams to develop, update, and communicate employee relations policies and needed practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing policies and procedures, recommending improvements as needed in partnership with HR Compliance and Legal.
- Oversee and manage the resolution of complex employee relations issues, including investigations of harassment, discrimination, and other workplace concerns.
- Provide guidance and support to HR Business Partners and managers on conflict resolution and performance management.
- Develop resources and tools to support managers in handling employee relations issues effectively.
- Build and lead a high-performing Employee Relations team, providing mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities for not just the Employee Relations team but also HR Business Partners.
- Utilize data and analytics to identify trends, assess the impact of employee relations initiatives, and make data-driven decisions.
- Develop and foster strong relationship with legal, compliance and HRBP’s.
