Description:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Master’s degree (MA/MS) or equivalent from accredited university; and 6+ years related event management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Training: We provide a robust training curriculum that will support our employees throughout their career. Training provided within the first year of employment includes: De-escalation & Safety; Public Speaking; Mental Health First Aid; Substance Abuse & Mental Health; Human Trafficking; Trauma Informed Care; and many more.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plans, oversees and coordinates all logistics for events including, but not limited to, venue, decorations, attendee list, entertainment, food, etc., to ensure events run smoothly and achieve desired goals and are consistent with Agency mission and Catholic teachings.
  • Plans, oversees and coordinates all logistics for appeals including, but not limited to, vendors, yearly output planning, costs, etc., to ensure the appeals achieve desired goals and are consistent with Agency mission and Catholic teachings.
  • Leads and manages the operation of events and appeals to address the priorities and goals of the Agency.
  • Develops, implements and adheres to effective event and appeal planning timelines and ensures deadlines are met.
  • Stimulates creative thinking and leadership in departments service development and implementation.
  • Evaluates, selects and negotiates contracts with vendors for both events and appeals.
  • Works and plans with development team to fill events with the best donors.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and effectively manage multiple programs in a leadership role, including fundraising, marketing and communications.
  • Possesses strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Ability to apply analytical skills for assessment and evaluation responsibility.
  • Ability to apply problem solving skills essential in developing solutions for unanticipated issues and challenges.
