As the Director – Finance Applications, you’ll be acting as an intermediary between the accounting departments (Canada, United States, Mexico and Europe), the Workday maintenance and development team, the IT department and SaaS software providers and external services. In collaboration with the IT team, you will have full responsibility for the Finance applications’ infrastructure and will have to continuously provide new solutions aimed at increasing the operational value of Workday, while ensuring the continuity of current activities.
The Director will also ensure overall stakeholder alignment, including communication within and outside the team and business, identification and resolution of interdependencies, appropriate prioritization and execution of project tasks, as well as establishment and monitoring of key objectives.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • University degree or higher education diploma in the technology field;
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management;
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in team management;
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with ERP financial software, preferably Workday;
  • PMP certification or equivalent, preferable;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in French and in English;
  • Ability to meet travel requirements - up to 10% per year if you are based in Quebec and up to 20% if you are based in Ontario.
  • Strong experience with an understanding of financial products and systems architectures, including accounting business processes, financial and management reporting, month-end close processes, regulatory reporting, entity consolidations and multi-currency accounting.
