Description:
JOB DESCRIPTION
This role will have direct exposure to the Instrument & Enterprise Service (IES) and Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry (CMD) senior leadership team through providing strong business partnership support. The Director, Finance plays an integral part in aligning the team goals with business unit and group leadership expectations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A degree in Finance or Accounting, preferably an MBA, CPA or CMA certification.
- 10+ years of related experience in financial and operational analysis, reporting, and accounting leadership.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail; ability to step back, analyze the overall business impact and synthesize the messaging.
- Strong and persuasive communicator: crucial to have credibility within a multifaceted, exciting environment and in the context of providing outstanding business partnering support
- Ability to excel in a highly matrixed environment and to handle ambiguity is a must.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical skills, able to lead priorities and workflow.
- Must be a business leader rather than a technical guide – this position plays an active role in leading the business and developing strategy, while providing challenge and support in equal measure.
- Must have an outstanding attention to detail and strong process rigor.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with VP/GM CMD Global Instrument business and division partners on strategies to drive bookings/revenue growth and optimal margins.
- Facilitate reporting and business reviews for IES & CMD organizations to achieve financial goals.
- Work with FP&A leader and finance leads to develop tools and processes for accurate revenue/margin forecasts by Product Line.
- Create strategies to optimize EBITA via cost management, pricing, and operational efficiencies.
- Maintain internal controls to protect assets and ensure accurate financial records, aligning with Sarbanes-Oxley 404.
- Set and communicate financial targets aligned with business unit commitments.
- Collaborate with leadership to develop strategies for improving short-term and long-term financial objectives.
- Lead the finance team, fostering high standards and developing a world-class finance organization.
