Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management OR Associate’s degree/Bachelor’s degree with 3 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required, with 2 of those years being in leadership/management.

Responsibilities:

Ascension is seeking a Director - Financial Integrity to join our accounting and reporting team, reporting to the AVP - Guidance, Reporting and Integrity. The responsibilities of this position are essential in helping to ensure the integrity of Ascension’s consolidated financial statements, which are prepared and externally published on a quarterly basis, and subject to an annual external audit. Overarching responsibilities are as follows.

  • Lead the financial integrity over financial reporting program, including risk assessments, quarterly attestations, and incident reporting.
  • Oversee the documentation, maintenance, communication and training on internal controls, including ERP process controls (non-IT)
  • Serve as the internal audit liaison, providing assistance where needed.
  • Oversee the continuous monitoring analytics process, which includes journal entry compliance review and analytical review, in support of accounting best practices.
