POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to lead our FP&A function. This pivotal role will provide critical financial insights and recommendations to drive business performance and growth, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives in the technology and AI sectors. The Director will oversee financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis, and will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, including the CEO and CFO.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or CFA designation is highly preferred.
  • Experience: At least 10 years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.
  • Leadership Skills: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within FP&A.
  • Industry Background: Experience in the technology or AI industry is highly desirable.
  • Financial Skills: Exceptional skills in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Communication Skills: Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex financial information in English.
  • Collaboration: Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in financial software and tools such as Excel, ERP systems, and BI tools.
  • Attributes: Strategic thinker with a proactive, innovative approach; detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality; able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Financial Leadership: Lead the FP&A function to deliver strategic financial insights and actionable recommendations that enhance business performance and drive growth.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis: Oversee the creation and management of comprehensive financial models, budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans, while analyzing financial results and KPIs to provide strategic guidance and produce business cases for key decisions.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to offer financial guidance and support strategic initiatives, and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, helping them make data-informed decisions.
  • Reporting & Presentations: Prepare and present accurate, clear, and relevant financial reports, dashboards, and presentations to the executive team, board of directors, and investors, excluding IFRS reporting.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate business performance against budgets and forecasts, implementing improvement plans and corrective actions to meet financial targets.
  • M&A and Investment Analysis: Support M&A activities with financial due diligence, valuation, and integration planning, and provide strategic recommendations for capital allocation to maximize returns.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop the FP&A team over time, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the team has the skills and knowledge to support the company’s financial objectives.
