Essential Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Communications or related field and/or degree in Science beneficial
  • 10+ years of relevant experience creating and executing high-level internal and external communication plans in a dynamic environment.
  • Strategic thinker and hands-on implementer
  • Adept at working in highly matrixed corporate environments
  • Successful track record in internal engagement and change communications
  • Experience working with all levels of employees, including management committee members, first-line managers and production employees.
  • Fluent Englis

Responsibilities:

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • As member of Development Leadership Teams, the incumbent acts as a proactive, trusted communications leader to the Chief Scientific Officer and teams to:
  • Engage associates through a robust leader communication plan that creates understanding and belief in our purpose and strategy
  • Identify, develop and lead all external communications activities including speaking engagements, media interviews, etc
  • Advise on external communications opportunities and anticipate and manage reputational issues
  • Responsible for innovative, strategic communications plans that further enhance and protect the Sandoz brand and reputation with emphasis on the biosimilars and Generics/Complex Generics development pipeline, in support of business objectives
  • Develop narrative on the global development portfolio ensuring alignment with the larger Sandoz messaging platforms and narrative.
  • Oversee the creation and management of key Communications materials on development, including pipeline charts
  • Work across internal, external communications and other Sandoz divisional teams to develop the D&R content calendar.
  • Oversee internal and external newsflow communications around data, regulatory and other pre-approval activities for strategic assets (i.e., biosimilars, complex generics) to enhance Sandoz reputation aligning with internal and external communications.
  • Responsible for developing and supporting change communications initiatives to shape the culture and strengthen employee engagement, in close communication with Global Internal Communications
  • Manage development-related organizational communications including comms/reactive messaging on issues related to changes in Sandoz development footprint (e.g., site closures)
  • Issues preparedness for the development organization aligned with overall Sandoz strategy
  • Strategically manage agencies to ensure fiscal responsibility and impactful deliverables
