Job Description
The Director, HR Business Partner - EMEA is a key member of ServiceNow’s Product, Experience, and Technology HRBP team. This role will drive strategic business partnership to our EMEA regional executives and Global HR Business Partners, with a focus on delivering key talent strategies aligned to ServiceNow’s People Pact. This role will require a strong understanding of ServiceNow’s mission as well as business priorities across Product, Experience and Technology organization and how it aligns to regional strategies. You will partner closely with leaders across teams and countries. Influencing with and through others will be a key success factor in this role. Along with the core fundamentals of an experienced HRBP professional, the ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience in a complex organization were influencing with and through others was an essential success factor. This role reports to the Global HRBP Sr. Director for the Unified Technology Group.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU GET TO DO IN THIS ROLE:
- Understands the overall business direction and impact of people decisions in order to influence the right business choices to fulfill strategic objectives across multiple organizations, leaders, and countries. Contributes to the development and delivery of the BU and regional business plans and contributes to the scoping of key business initiatives.
- Contributes to business growth by applying a long-term vision and translating business and regional needs into a STEP EMEA People strategy and strategic people plan to support the achievement of regional and business goals.
- Uses and analyzes data and trends to inform guidance to business leadership and to measure success: learn, iterate, and improve; analyze trends and develop proactive actions.
- Partners with the STEP EMEA leaders and acts as a trusted advisor providing strategic insight to the future direction of the region, senior level people topics and contributes to organization design and development initiatives that drive the organizational effectiveness of the region.
- Acts as the voice of the business in the HR function and partners with People Partners, COEs (centers of excellence), and Ops to ensure business needs are represented and that HR solutions are developed and deployed for key business needs.
- Serves as regional contact for Sr Business Leaders within STEP EMEA and works collaboratively with the Global HRBP to ensure the effective fulfillment of business needs and seamless approach to meet people-related initiatives.
- Acts as key strategic HR lead, consultant, and coach to Senior business leaders to enable the development of their people leadership capabilities, maximize their impact on team engagement, and provide strategic insight on people related topics.
- Partner with the People M&A team on the due diligence, people planning and/ or integration of newly acquired companies into ServiceNow.
- Provides strategic advice on:
- Strategic workforce planning
- Calibration and succession planning
- Organization design, change management, and culture
- Leadership and team development
- Relevant workforce trends which will impact the BU
Qualifications
TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE YOU HAVE:
- Experience working within a complex organization influencing across multiple countries and executives to create and execute against people strategies
- Experience supporting a fast-paced technology or engineering function a plus
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, including problem solving, collaboration and relationship building
- Ability to thrive in an unstructured environment and work independently in an ambiguous, high growth, fast-paced environment across the complexity of various countries and cultures
- Ability to use of data analytics and insights to influence decision making across the region and with senior leadership
- Ability to manage multiple complex issues and prioritize projects concurrently
- Ability to excel at all levels of the HR “stack” - strategic, operational, and tactical
- Credibility and integrity in communications to ensure information flows both upward and downward
- Confidence to challenge respectfully to influence business decisions
