We are currently seeking a Director, HR Business Partner who will seek inspiration from our roots, can commit to achieving results the right way and loves to think big to join us on our journey.
The Director, HR Business Partner (HRBP) will play a critical role in aligning human resources strategies with business objectives. This role will have two main internal client groups (Retail Operations and Distribution Center) and two direct reports. This position will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, driving HR initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness, foster employee engagement, and support the achievement of sales goals. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the retail fashion industry, or like industry, and a proven track record in strategic HR leadership.
The Director, HR Business Partner for Roots will be responsible for the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. HR Designation is an asset.
  • Minimum of +8 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in HR Specialist role, and 2 years in managing a team
  • Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the retail fashion industry, sales operations or related functions.
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic HR planning, talent management, and organizational development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Valued as an inspirational leader, committed to nurturing and empowering team members, and fostering a culture of high performance
  • Acknowledged for agility and adaptability in navigating dynamic environments to consistently deliver significant outcomes
  • Experience working with senior executives, director level and above.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.
  • Ability to work within HRIS systems, in particular Dayforce, is an asset.
  • Previous experience managing a client portfolio in Quebec and working knowledge of legislative requirements
