QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCES

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in HR leadership, strategy, and operations.
  • Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and compliance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on employee engagement and strategic leadership partnerships.
  • Ability to lead in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Director of Human Resources for the Americas leads the development and implementation of HR strategies and policies, aligning them with company goals and legal requirements. This role manages key HR functions, including talent acquisition, compensation, employee relations, and talent development, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. Effective communication, employee engagement, and strategic partnership with senior leadership are essential components of this role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and align HR strategies with business goals, ensuring organizational success.
  • Drive talent acquisition, retention strategies, and succession planning to build a high-performing workforce.
  • Lead employee engagement initiatives, including town halls, recognition programs, and feedback channels to boost morale and organizational alignment.
  • Oversee training, career development, compensation, diversity, and benefit programs.
  • Ensure competitive compensation plans through data analysis and industry trend assessment while following the company’s guidelines on salary structure and job evaluations.
  • Advise senior leadership on HR management, legislation, and compliance issues.
  • Manage employee relations, including counseling, investigations, and performance improvement.
  • Develop, communicate, and reinforce HR policies and practices through clear, consistent messaging across the organization.
  • Organize and facilitate company-wide communication platforms such as town halls, employee surveys, and other engagement activities.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with legal requirements (e.g., EEO-1, 5500), handle audits, and standard operating procedures in HR.
  • Track HR metrics and develop financial strategies to optimize operations.
  • Collaborate with the global HR team for consistent policies across the organization.
