JOB SUMMARY
The Director, Human Resources (M&A) is responsible for leading, managing, and executing the company’s strategy for mergers and acquisitions as it relates to human capital practices. There is a high degree of responsibility to manage the due diligence, game planning, implementation, and cross-functional communication and alignment related to the disciplines of HR pre and post M&A events. Building collaborative relationships and partnering with senior leaders is a core competency in this role. Additional focus is required on post-acquisition success to ensure the corporate HR Team has fully integrated the new teams into the systems and processes. HR discipline expertise is required in employment practices, labor law, full cycle talent management, and total rewards. As a growing company, this role will also lead special HR projects for the enterprise.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, human resources, or related field and eight or more years of progressively responsible experience in the HR discipline at a manager or director level.
- Experience required in merger and acquisition business deals.
- Experience in HCM technology platforms.
- Certified credentials from bona-fide HR institutions are a plus.

Responsibilities:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversees the overall strategy, direction, and execution of all merger and acquisition projects ensuring consistency with DuraServ’s strategies, commitments, and goals. Works closely with the C-Suite and IMO Team to ensure the M&A event is successful and smooth.
- Works in close collaboration with the DuraServ IMO Team and CHRO. Has the ability to conduct a comprehensive due diligence review of employment practices, HR vendors, HR services, and translate findings to a gap analysis and action plan for integration standardization. Responsible for providing senior leaders with key insights from the due diligence process that requires review and approval on organizational design and workforce planning.
- Facilitates and project lead across workstreams and team members including Finance/Accounting, Operations, Human Resources, and Sales. Gains alignment on the solutions to address gaps in business practices prior to the M&A event and partners with line management on immediate implementation of company required HR practices.
- Is as a liaison with various stakeholders to provide HR direction in resolving M&A HR issues; recommending solutions and processes to address transition pains; and advising Management of paths of success to resolve integration issues.
- Must demonstrate influential abilities while combining strategic planning, general business management, and project management to drive successful transitions.
- Is a member of the Welcome Team at acquisition kick-off events and facilitates a successful New Hire Orientation and Onboarding process to DuraServ.
- Provide guidance on standard and best practice HR M&A processes through verbal and written communication and plans. Identify and mitigate risks and integration challenges for the corporate HR team and provide solutions based on integration strategies. Work closely with the corporate HR Team and other DuraServ Teams to ensure a smooth transition on HR vendors, HR services, HR technology and other HR practices.
- Ensures a sound HCM Technology Transition Plan is developed and executed with success.
- Utilize project management expertise for merger and acquisition HR projects to positively impact employee lifecycle and business outcomes. The project scope is the establishment and implementation of HR disciplines related to corporate social responsibility, employment practices and labor law, culture programs, talent management and total rewards.
- May perform other HR related responsibilities, as assigned.
