Job Description:
The Director, Information Technology will provide oversight and coordination of all aspects of IT operations at Supreme International. As a key member of the executive team, this position works with stakeholders across the business to identify, prioritize, and deliver on key initiatives that support the efficient growth and scale of Supreme’s global business. This includes staff management, strategic and tactical planning, budgeting, maintenance, and implementation of all architectures, including networking, datacenters (on-premises and clouds), data and system security, ERP systems, all end points, telephones, collaboration tools, and enterprise applications. This position is responsible for the development of an IT strategy that supports and enables Supreme’s growth and business strategy. Along with coaching and motivating a skilled team of IT professionals, the Director is a key liaison with stakeholders across multiple departments and is a skilled communicator.
In your capacity as Director, Information Technology you will be responsible for:
- Providing Strategic insight into Information Technology and Business for the organization.
- Defining and delivering on a strategic IT plan that supports the business growth of Supreme while maintaining strong focus on managing day to day operational effectiveness, business continuity and IT security.
- Working closely with the Supreme executive team, third-party vendors, clients, and other leaders to ensure IT initiatives enable the annual business plans and long-term corporate strategy.
- Defining, managing, and delivering on a portfolio of IT projects that span across the business to help drive continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Fully managing the end-to-end suite of enterprise applications, including 3rd party and internally developed solutions.
- Championing security awareness and best practices throughout the organization.
- Staying up to date with industry trends, technologies, and threats in cyber security.
- Developing, implementing, and testing a comprehensive disaster recovery plan.
- Developing robust process controls that support business efficiency, scale, security, and reliability.
- Providing ongoing team mentorship and career development for direct reports.
- Excellent knowledge or computer assets, systems, and production ERP systems
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- High proficiency in written and spoken English is essential.
- Able to exhibit a high level of confidentiality.
- Must be able to gather and analyze information skillfully and present at an executive level
- Participate and support companywide strategic planning and the development of annual budgets and business plans.
- Limited travel required.
To perform the Director, Information Technology job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. These requirements are representative, but not all-inclusive, of the knowledge, skill, and ability required of the position.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- College or University degree or diploma in information technology or computer engineering.
- 5+ years leadership experience managing a team of IT professionals at a corporate level.
- Advanced knowledge of IT infrastructure both on-premises and in various clouds;
- Experience supporting Microsoft365, Engineering CADD and ERP infrastructure.
- Experience designing and implementing systems that provide IT service, enterprise applications, and support to all regions of a global business.
- Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, prioritize, and drive initiatives to create efficiency by reducing system administration burden.
- A strong data-driven orientation, identifying KPIs and providing visibility to the business on all IT measures.
- Ability to travel internationally.
ADDITIONAL PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Prior experience in an internationally distributed organization.
- Understanding of agriculture and specifically the dairy and cattle industries would be a benefit.
- Experience in a manufacturing setting and production ERP systems would be of benefit. Ideally Visibility ERP software.
This position will work out of our Manufacturing plant located in Wetaskiwin Alberta with some flexibility to work from home. A background check including criminal check and credit check will be a requirement for employment in this position.
