Description:

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM

  • A degree in Business Administration, Information Technology or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience. A Graduate degree in a related discipline is an asset.
  • At least five (5) years of professional experience leading innovation across a diverse organization including business and IT solutions, with demonstrated experience in leadership and people management experience, preferable in the health, social services or not-for profit sector
  • Expertise in business improvement/innovation-related (e.g. lean, six sigma, design-thinking etc.) and project management principles. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is an asset.
  • Experience in data analytics, data governance, data quality and reporting
  • Experience leading and working with diverse cross functional and multi-disciplinary teams across community and regional geography.
  • Analytical, research and solution-developing skills with the ability to apply innovative and progressive business practices. Ability to interpret and translate data into action.
  • Technical knowledge and skills on technology and systems solutions and platforms and understanding of information technology trends, landscape and future directions. And ability to translate between business needs and technical requirements.
  • Project leadership and management expertise to lead collaborative projects involving cross functional/ multidisciplinary teams, and multiple stakeholders and partners.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to approach, listen, build trust, and communicate across diverse cultures and intersectionality. Willingness to continually improve understanding around cultural competence.
  • Openness to operate from an anti-racist, anti-oppressive, 2SLGBTQ+ affirming and intersectional framework
  • Willingness to learn and apply practical understanding of different elements of diversity, such as gender identity/expression, race/cultural background, religion, sexual orientation, disability, immigration and precarious status, family status, etc.
  • Fluency in a second language, including ASL (American Sign Language) is considered an asset
  • Ability to travel within and around Peel Region and Dufferin County as required
  • A satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check) report

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Act as a liaison between Corporate Services, the Organization, and Senior Management, identifying opportunities for change and operationalizing strategic initiatives of the organization
  • Provide strategic direction for the design, enhancement, and deployment of data and analytics infrastructure specific to CMHA Peel Dufferin
  • Lead Innovation team members in analyzing project data needs and defining project scope; manage all aspects of people management for the Innovation team.
  • Oversee and lead all aspects of evaluation reporting including development of and improvements to data visualization, infographics and descriptive presentation of data
  • Ensure completed and accurate reports are submitted to funders and key stakeholders according to reports schedule, as well as the production and submission of reports and analysis on ad-hoc basis
  • Drive the development of interactive dashboards and reporting environments that provide actionable insights to internal and external stakeholders
  • Lead the research and implementation of tools, methodologies and best practices to promote, support and drive innovation and continuous improvement including leadership on strategies for generation of ideas, creative thinking and development of business solutions.
  • Manage fidelity to existing policies and procedures for the centralized project management office responsible for leading and managing organization wide and program specific innovation projects involving business and service innovation, process mapping and improvements, re-engineering and optimization of the programs and services, operations and new technologies/ business solutions in support of the vision, mission and strategic priorities of the CMHA.
  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership team in the establishment of priority innovation and business improvement projects and services. Leads and manages significant and complex projects on behalf of the organization engaging internal and external partners and cross-functional teams.
