The Director, Inside Sales and Operations reports to the VP, Sales and is based in Austin, Texas. This role will be responsible for leading sales support, inside sales, sales operations and order allocation management for the US Wholesale business. The Director, Inside Sales and Operations is a key member of the US Wholesale leadership team responsible for overseeing the order to fulfillment process, supporting sales leadership with analytical insights regarding forecasts, allocation and inventory levels while executing the US sales plans, measuring and reporting on individual, regional, and account level performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Leads a best in class inside sales and sales operations team
  • Responsible for US WHSL product allocation and customer fulfillment prioritization
  • Monitor inventory allocation, sales order book, cancellations, returns, discounts, and sell-through to determine trends, opportunities and risk
  • Manages reporting to support execution of monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
  • Own the internal dealer experience and provide feedback on process improvements
  • Strategic partner in vendor guidelines, compliance and routing guides
  • Minimize charge backs through strategic planning and operational excellence
  • Work cross-functionally with supply chain and operations to work within compliance guidelines
  • Create reporting to identify complex order issues and recommend customer-focused solutions
  • Partner with the US Wholesale team and Order Management Specialists to provide timely and creative solutions as issues arise
  • Analyze and identify trends within reported issues to understand the full scope of impact
  • Determine and track relevant KPIs and manage team performance
  • Develops an effective business review process (including reporting) for the regional sales leadership and territory representatives
  • Delivers sales pipeline reporting, and dashboards that measure individual, territory and regional performance
  • Leads numerous ad-hoc projects and analyses

Qualifications and Attributes:

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
  • At least 10 + years of combined product sales, operations & analytics within the Consumer Goods Industry
  • At least 6+ years of experience leading medium sized teams
  • Experience in sales planning and reporting with premium consumer goods that are sold through both national and independent retailers is essential for success
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to think independently and champion what is best for the business
  • Ability to mentor and develop junior team members to do their best work
  • Demonstrates agility and the ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong working knowledge of Salesforce, Tableau & SAP
  • Demonstrated ability to operate both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional presentation development and delivery skills
  • Must possess a pro-active attitude and exceptional organizational skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships with business stake holders across the organization and enhance cross-functional teamwork
