JOB DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Head of Marketing, Sun Life Global Investments (SLGI), the Director, Institutional Marketing is responsible for leading and implementing the marketing strategy for SLGI in support of the Institutional business strategy and objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead the execution of a marketing strategy that ensures a consolidated and fully integrated approach to marketing that helps achieve the business objectives and sales goals and empowers the Institutional Sales team, Consultants, Plan Sponsors and Group Advisors
- Establish and foster strong working relationships with Institutional leadership and the Sales team to ensure a fully-aligned and effective marketing strategy and solicit feedback to help measure successes and identify areas for improvement with regards to marketing initiatives
- Establish and foster strong working relationships with GRS and CSC Marketing to ensure a fully-integrated and effective marketing strategy
- Develop an in-depth and ongoing knowledge of SLGIs Institutional product line- and overall industry trends.
- Obtain a thorough understanding of SLGIs Institutional products
- Understand how the Institutional Sales team position and promote SLGI investment products
- Keep abreast of the competitive landscape from a marketing trends perspective
- Recognize and interpret industry trends and make recommendations for strategies that support the business in achieving their goals
- Lead the development and execution of all new product support marketing strategies including tactical strategies, new marketing materials and landing pages (web) as well as the update of existing materials and tools
- Lead the development and execution of new marketing strategies for the existing product shelf
- Direct the creation and ongoing management of a content and thought leadership program aimed at building Sun Life Global Investments Institutional brand and promoting its investment products to institutional audiences
- Build on the foundation of the ESG marketing content already established and lead the development of a robust focus on further promoting and building out of the ESG story
- Work closely with the Brand, Advertising and Sponsorships team to optimize the Institutional advertising and events strategies
- Identify measures of success (i.e. sales, assets, requests, etc.)
