Position Purpose: At the Home Depot Canada, our team is focused on providing analytics and insights that support our goal of delivering the world’s best interconnected shopping experience. We are looking for a driven leader with customer-centric vision to elevate and enable a high performing team.
The Director, Interconnected Analytics and Data Science is responsible for the interconnected analytics and insights across all aspects of retail performance for our business. This role will also drive the vision and strategy of our site optimization teams across multiple platforms, E-commerce analytics, CRM analytics, Digital Media Marketing Analytics, and our emerging Advanced Analytics & Data Science practice to ensure strategic and tactical decisions are informed by data-driven insights. The Director sets the strategy and leads the team of technical experts that leverage deep expertise in statistical and quantitative analysis. In addition to managing the daily operations of the team, the position delivers consulting services, such as presenting key findings and translating insights into actionable decisions that can maximize revenue potentials.

Responsibilities:

Actionable Deliverable

  • Lead and grow an Online Data Science portfolio with cutting edge AI/ML technologies to meet the evolving needs and advances in real-time personalization, search, and recommendations.
  • Lead advanced analytics organization to provide actionable insights to cross-functional teams (Product Management, Merchandising, Pro, Digital Content Management, User Experience, Finance, Marketing, Digital Media, Store Operations, Field Leadership and Information Technology) and develop a cohesive and comprehensive understanding of the key drivers of the business to promote growth and business development
  • Lead Canadian thinking, in partnership with Home Depot US on leveraging GenAI for ongoing customer experience, insights and operational Improvements and capabilities
  • Lead and design analytics and data science to further activate 1st party audiences and deliver data-driven products to enhance a personalized customer experience
  • Strengthen data capture, warehouse, pipeline and infrastructure capabilities across the marketing and ecommerce technology stack
  • Develop strong partnership with IT to ensure privacy and security measures are managed while enabling analytics
  • Work with application and data engineers to develop, implement and optimize data management processes to design self-serve reporting & analytics solutions using all available tools (Tableau, Looker, Google Analytics, Adobe, Google Big Query, custom reporting, Omniture etc.)
  • Partner with marketing and advertising to drive productivity across various media channels
  • Join forces with product management to help identify and prioritize future site features and measure project outcomes
  • Hire, manage, mentor and grow the analytics team on tools, approaches, and how to reach clear, actionable recommendations
