Description:

The Director, International Digital Retail & Delivery leads digital and off premise marketing for our portfolio of brands outside the U.S. The expectation is this individual will be experienced with loyalty programs, the marketing mix, third party delivery partnerships, owned digital technologies, and utilizing a variety of digital marketing channels. A member of the International marketing leadership team, this role collaborates closely with the International marketing team, direct reports, field business teams, and cross functional teams to create, execute and oversee our digital and delivery marketing strategies to accelerate the growth of Inspire Brands’ digital sales performance. The Director, International Digital Retail & Delivery is a structured, analytical, creative and strategic thinker comfortable solving complex problems and strategically influencing internal and external stakeholders.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • 4-year degree in Marketing, Business or Technology
  • MBA preferred
  • 7 - 10 years relevant experience in marketing, strategy, digital and/or consulting.
  • Restaurant industry experience preferred
  • International experience required

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS OR ABILITIES

  • Leadership experience in digital marketing or similar marketing leadership role preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally
  • Experience leading digital agency relationships through creation and deployment of digital platforms (app, OLO, loyalty)
  • Experience with the marketing mix (4 P’s) and understanding marketing principals and strategy
  • Experience working with third-party delivery aggregator brands
  • Clear understanding and experience in how to leverage data from digital platforms to generate actionable insights
  • Possess strong business acumen and leadership skills
  • Has the ability to think strategically and creatively
  • Ability to collect and synthesize information, making it relevant, understandable, and actionable for key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially the ability to explain difficult concepts in applicable business terms. Strong ability to summarize strategies into (PowerPoint) presentations in clear and understandable message
  • Ability to work and lead collaboration across a wide variety of work styles and personalities in a cross-functional team environment
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on time with competing deadlines

Responsibilities:

Build a best-in-class international loyalty marketing strategy by brand

  • Guide franchisees, agencies and Inspire field marketing counterparts on how to contribute to sales targets by driving incremental sales through loyalty programs
  • Develop targeted digital marketing strategies and campaigns for each brand across a variety of digital channels
  • Collaborate with US brand and Commercial loyalty teams and benchmark global competitors to identify best practices to design and grow our loyalty platforms
  • Define loyalty offers by brand that drive acquisition and build frequency while ensuring strong unit level economic model
  • Measure and optimize performance of loyalty to meet business goals
  • Design 1:1 targeting strategy and provide continuous best practices and content to grow active users and sales

Create an industry leading off-premise business channel by brand

  • Oversee annual delivery calendar/program development by brand with clear objectives, goals, strategies and measures to drive owned and third-party sales channels
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen 3PD contracts and commission rates, and lead 3PD commercials negotiations for country and region-level agreements Design delivery marketing toolkits by brand, including menu/bundling, pricing, packaging and promotional strategy recommendations
  • Create and distribute quarterly delivery best practices to grow digital sales
  • Develop creative ideas to boost delivery traffic and sales
  • Monitor competition and provide strategies to dominate delivery
  • Define success measurement and reporting dashboards to track and optimize business contribution from this channel

Lead development of the International digital marketing roadmap, annual plans, and programs to deliver business objectives and goals

  • Create a data-driven digital roadmap by brand to build and enable digital strategies that improve customer experience and productivity across all channels, meet consumer demand needs, provide value to franchisees/licensees, and grow digital sales
  • Develop and execute content plans, including the generation of digital campaigns, promotional strategies, and merchandising
  • Oversee roster of digital agencies and identify new agency partners as needed to meet business objectives and goals
  • Provide expertise on maximizing the data from the digital platform to cross-reference with other data sources, generate valuable insights and ultimately inform business decisions.
  • Lead digital and creative teams in generating creative digital ideas and concepts
  • Collaborate with IT leadership to enable the digital roadmap
  • Monitor and optimize performance of owned digital platforms to achieve brand and business goals
  • Prioritize digital program development and deployment with field business team alignment
  • Identify opportunities from the latest digital trends and technology to keep the platform ahead of the competition
  • Identify new resources to drive traffic, ranking, and visibility to our owned channels (app, website and online ordering), such as SEO and media, and integrate capabilities into existing and future owned digital platforms for franchisee/licensee opt-in
  • Energize our team, agencies and licensees around all digital marketing programs

Oversee the Digital & Delivery marketing team and their leadership of regional execution of strategies and roadmaps to grow digital sales

  • Drive team effectiveness, engagement, and advancement towards career goals
  • Ensure growth markets have always on calendars to drive digital sales and are integrated with local marketing calendars through the field marketing team
  • Guide opportunities for third-party delivery partnerships and promotions in key growth markets and regions
  • Oversee team leadership of digital platform deployment across all brands, including pricing, product offers, promotions, and customer strategy for owned and 3PD platforms
  • Create smooth operations for all digital tools and applications (websites, apps, loyalty, social channels)

Relationship management

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (International marketing team, direct reports, field business teams, IT, legal, cybersecurity, commercial, supply chain, operations training, and finance) and partners (licensees, franchisees, agencies/vendors)

Project management

  • Create and deliver international marketing programs on schedule and within budget
  • Assist with ad hoc projects, presentations and reports to support the Vice President, International Marketing
  • Ensure medium/long term projects are implemented on time and achieve objectives
