Job Description
The Director, Information Services reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization’s Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Director, Information Services will serve as the IS leader for an assigned NMHC entity (ies) or area. In this leadership role, the Director will have overall relationship management responsibility for all aspects of Information Services including entity level systems planning, new system project delivery, ongoing systems improvements and upgrades, and day to day service needs. The role includes participation in local entity or area and NMHC Strategic Planning workgroups, resource allocation, and technology policy decisions. The Director, Information Services, will establish and maintain customer relationships with key operating and clinical leaders. Effective coordination across NMHC IS teams will be essential meeting entity needs and customer expectations. The Director is responsible for establishing IS project and system improvement structures for prioritization, funding, and oversight activities including adherence to NMHC project management methodology and alignment of IS resources required to execute the project, enhancement and service requests. Ongoing and effective communication of status of all IS services, including a required escalation of outstanding issues, will be expected. To the extent that an entity or area has locally based systems that are not part of the NMHC IT standards or are required to serve a local need, the Director will be responsible for the staff required to manage and operate these systems.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be recognized as the IS leader for the business unit or entity/area.
  • Management of locally defined application systems and execution of transition plans to standards-based technology consistent with architecture and standards principles.
  • Provide leadership and direction in the project prioritization processes.
  • Lead entity level IS service request management prioritization structures and processes.
  • Ability to effectively work in and through the IS organization to resource prioritized initiatives and escalate as necessary.
  • Responsible for on-going capacity management to deliver improvements.
  • Ensure NMHC Information Services processes, policies, best practices and architecture standards are embedded and adhered to (support at both the local entity and NMHC levels) within their respective organization.
  • May be assigned to direct specific project(s) or functional areas of corporate IS responsibility. Will apply project and program management skills to assigned initiatives.
  • Will be engaged in planning and activation of new facilities for their institution and will support major projects, as needed.
  • Will manage and lead a team of Managers, Team Leads and Analysts to carry out the assigned alignment leader activities.
  • Will have ultimate responsibility for the performance of the IS function to the local entity/area and will ensure that IS, is executed effectively.
  • Serves as primary owner of site level customer relationship management.
