QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/JOB REQUIREMENTS (ABOUT YOU):
- 3-5 years of Sales Management experience.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of Sales experience, including at least five (5) years in senior sales role.
- Multi-site, regional responsibility
- Advanced knowledge of core business processes (Customer planning and management, sales and distribution, financial reporting, training, quality assurance).
- Post-secondary education in Business or related concentration, an asset.
- Excellent coaching, leadership, and team building skills; able to influence decision makers; highly effective inter-personal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proven track record in executing business objectives; actively drives performance, solve problems and barriers to execution, delivers projects through to on-time completion.
- Strategic thinking, excellent analytical skills, and possesses extensive knowledge in structured approaches to problem solving, i.e. six sigma, continuous improvement.
- Adapts well to and initiates change in the organization.
- Skilled in the use of a variety of PC software, including all Microsoft products.
- Proficiency for Fiscal Financial Planning (AOP) & Monthly Forecasting of all Local Business for the site.
- Valid driver’s license in good standing with access to a vehicle is required.
- On the road, daily schedule includes multiple customer visits. Minimal travel is required (up to 10%) varies based on geographical region.

Responsibilities:
ROLE:
Reporting to the Vice President of Local Sales, this role will be responsible for coaching, mentoring, developing, and motivating a team of District Sales Managers to exceed planned sales targets for the region.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Deliver annual sales and pieces growth targets while managing expenses for the sales area.
- Accountable for providing coaching, training, and timely feedback to drive associate and management development of consultative selling skills and business growth.
- Monitor sales, service, and accounts receivable activity while providing direct support, coaching, and leadership for all Sales leaders.
- Effectively lead and facilitate sales leadership meetings that educate, motivate, and ultimately produce key behavior to drive sales. Develop and deliver local content for general sales meeting.
- Develop and maintain rapport and a strong partnership with customers by maintaining regular communication either in person or by phone, identifying customer needs and providing excellence in customer service.
- Assist in advocating and supporting change to help meet customers’ needs and grow sales.
- Help create and drive sales promotions and customer incentives to drive profitable sales.
- Provide accurate, complete, and timely feedback of all new market opportunities and competitive activity.
- Develop and recommend plans to build team morale and superior team results.
- Prepare the annual sales plans and forecasts and manage the territory operating expenses
- Negotiate new contracts with key local customers.
- Support a Customer First Mindset while executing daily tasks.
- Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Understands both the economic and cultural value that a safe organization with minimal environmental impact brings to an organization.
- Is willing to drive Environmental, Health and Safety performance by providing necessary resources and holding their team accountable to complying with EHS programs, policies, and requirements.
