Essential:
- Extensive experience in M&A, with a significant portion of that experience within the technology sector
- Proven track record of leading complex technology transactions, including sourcing, negotiating, and integrating deals
- Strong knowledge of technology markets, including emerging trends in cloud computing, AI, software, SaaS, and digital transformation
- Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence for M&A transactions.
- Relevant experience in at least one of the following industries: consumer goods, energy and utilities, industrials, technology and media, or life sciences
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization, internally and externally
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present clearly in presentation or pitches including senior level stakeholders; ideally comfortable in corporate and private equity board rooms
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to evaluate potential acquisition opportunities in line with long-term business objectives
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred
- Full travel mobility
Responsibilities:
- As part of the director team, lead M&A Technology strategy and execution by identifying and evaluating deal opportunities on buy and sell side and across the full deal life cycle from pre- to post deal
- Manage client engagements by onboarding the tech team, coordinating the engagement and deliverables with internal peer groups, oversee the engagement and deliverables within the M&A Tech team, ensure timeliness, quality and efficient delivery of high-quality client deliverables and pursuit of follow-on opportunities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams by working closely with executive leadership, legal, finance, product, and technology teams to ensure seamless execution of transactions
- Build and mentor a high-performing M&A team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation
- Contribute to practice growth by developing marketing collateral and helping shape value propositions and publishing market or M&A related insights
- Support and deliver the development of high-quality transaction documentation e.g. IT integration or separation blueprints, Transitional Service Agreements, status reports, SteerCo reports and papers addressing strategic issues
- Develop your expertise in reporting to senior executives, facilitating large workshops, benefits tracking, change control and stakeholder management
- Take ownership for quality and risk management, ensuring that all client work is delivered consistently complying with Deloitte quality and risk rules and guidelines.
