Description:
Our client, a rapidly scaling tech company, is revolutionizing the way users engage with local news and community-driven content. By building partnerships with local content creators and publishers, they are reshaping how communities stay informed. As a leader in the tech industry, the company is looking for a experienced Director, FP& A / Strategic Finance to take ownership of financial planning, analysis, and strategic financial initiatives. The role will directly influence key business decisions and support growth in the tech/SaaS space.
Position Overview: The Director, FP& A / Strategic Finance will oversee the company’s financial planning and analysis function, partnering closely with senior leadership to support long-term strategic objectives. You will lead financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, providing insights that drive business strategy. Experience in investment banking and tech/SaaS is essential to navigate complex financial operations and advise on key business initiatives.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation of comprehensive financial forecasts, operating budgets, and multi-year strategic financial plans. Provide in-depth financial analysis, including variance analysis, cash flow management, and scenario modeling to support the company’s strategic direction. Drive improvements in forecasting processes to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency. Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate new business opportunities, potential acquisitions, and investment priorities. Advise the executive team on the financial implications of business transactions and strategic initiatives, with a focus on maximizing company growth and profitability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial planning with business objectives, ensuring the company’s financial performance supports growth in the SaaS space. Oversee and improve the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparation of management reporting packages. Lead the annual audit process and coordinate tax provision and return filings with external advisors. Act as a key liaison for financial matters with stakeholders, including board members and investors. Provide insights into capital allocation, financing, and other key strategic decisions to support the company’s expansion.
