Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU WILL DO

A change leader and influencer, the Director, Marketing will build and oversee the strategic vision, set the agenda, and ensure strong execution to deliver both short-term and long-term results for SpongeTowels®, our paper towel portfolio, as well as Napkins. You will drive consumer demand, sales and overall growth for these core portfolios while evaluating new opportunities to deliver untapped growth. This is a 15-month contract opportunity.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

  • Leverage consumer and market insights, innovation & portfolio strategies to build demand and drive share growth, leading the planning cycle for the brand and influencing long-term strategic planning and in-year execution (from sell-in with customer team)
  • Lead agency partners to develop best in class consumer communication strategies that deliver brand health and consumer impact
  • Collaborate and establish strong partnerships with cross-functional teams and leaders, and across the customer sales organization to continually build our business and share insights
  • Manage several external relationships including; English, French and Ethnic Media and Agency team members, Social Media partners, Packaging and PR suppliers and other external stakeholders
  • Develop new products that utilize market opportunities and drive brand growth organically while maintaining existing brand profitability
  • Manage the portfolio marketing budget and execution of approved plans. Maximizing ROI behind initiatives and making necessary tradeoffs to fuel brand growth.
  • Motivate and excite the organization, cross-functional teams and external partners on our Marketing initiatives
  • Work closely with Sponsorship Team to drive equity with our brands and sales lift and share through key programming (NHL, Montreal Canadiens etc.)
