The Director, Marketing is responsible for attracting and retaining Canadian customers to our beloved brand in all Starbuck’s stores across Canada. This role is responsible for driving our brand affinity through the management of many multi-faceted customer facing strategies, including Brand, Seasonal Promotions, Loyalty, Delivery and Partnerships. This role is also responsible for creating customer strategies to drive demand while building the annual marketing plan and campaigns to support the Canadian business ambitions across all lines of business. Other key areas of responsibility include influencing Starbucks Canada P&L and strategic plan, supporting overall business planning, budget ownership, managing key agency and business partnerships including both our creative and media agencies, analyzing data to form insights that influence strategy and action plans, and liaising with a many US counterparts. This leader will support a team of up to 20 partners and will also be part of Starbucks Canada’s high performing Extended Leadership Team (ELT).

As a Director, Marketing, you will…

  • Lead the development and implementation of Canada’s Brand and Customer facing strategies across our Company Operated & Licensed stores. This includes long term strategic planning that balances how we leverage the customer facing communications of the global Starbucks enterprise and balancing it with insights that will drive investments in where Starbucks Canada will lead and localize on behalf of the organization.
  • Leverage market, competitive and customer insights to drive customer demand and traffic to our stores across direct functional business units (Brand, Loyalty, Delivery, Channel, Partnerships).
  • Lead and develop a dynamic team of Starbucks partners provide coaching, direction and leadership support to team members in order to achieve partners, business and customer results.
