QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is strongly preferred. A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a senior management role, including Director-level experience or higher. Experience in the telecommunications industry is a significant asset. Proven experience in leading and managing large, diverse marketing teams, with a demonstrated ability to develop and mentor high-performing professionals. Experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving organizational change at a senior leadership level.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of Business-to-Business (B2B) marketing techniques and best practices.
  • Proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategies and campaigns specifically for B2B audiences.
  • Extensive experience in B2B Product Management, including product launch experience in North America.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools, including CRM, analytics platforms, and marketing automation tools.
  • Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing a team of marketing professionals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to push creative boundaries and drive innovation within the marketing function.

Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for leading the product and marketing organization. The Director, Marketing is pivotal in shaping the marketing strategy for iTel Networks, promoting our existing offerings, and driving new business in the Canadian and US B2B markets. This leader will have a strong understanding of both product marketing and the unique challenges of the telecom industry. As a senior management team member, you will collaborate with your team and other internal departments to execute multi-channel marketing campaigns, analyze market trends, and identify new opportunities to promote and launch products and services. You are a visionary leader with a strong ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You are not afraid to push creative boundaries and drive high-impact marketing initiatives.

  • Provide leadership to the Marketing team, including both product and marketing personnel, with a focus on strategic direction and execution.
  • Lead all product marketing activities, including go-to-market strategy, market research, and pricing strategy for the company’s entire product portfolio.
  • Manage all B2B marketing campaigns and oversee end-to-end campaign development, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to produce financial models, forecasts, and pricing strategies for new products, as well as pricing for existing products.
  • Work closely with internal and external creative teams to produce marketing collateral, content, and assets that effectively communicate the brand message and value proposition.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on campaign performance along with product and pricing metrics to optimize ROI and drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage the marketing budget in collaboration with the VP of Marketing to allocate resources effectively and optimize spending to achieve maximum ROI.
  • Analyze marketing metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and strategies, making data-driven decisions for future initiatives.
  • Utilize digital marketing channels, social media platforms, and email marketing to reach and engage target audiences effectively.
  • Build and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors, ensuring strong collaboration and successful execution of marketing initiatives.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices to drive innovation in marketing efforts and maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  • Mentor and develop the marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous learning.
