They are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr Manager or Director of Accounting to join their team. Position Overview: The Sr Manager/Director of Accounting will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of HQ financial statements, financial reporting, assisting with opening balance sheets, and some due diligence for new acquisitions, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and IFRS. This role will involve managing a team of five, overseeing all headquarter general ledger activities, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with company accounting policies, and drafting new accounting policies as changes occur. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial reporting, IFRS, and a thorough understanding of US GAAP and IFRS accounting requirements. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with the ability to enjoy working with a diverse and multicultural team, including direct interactions with senior and executive leadership and collaborating with foreign subsidiaries on accounting policy initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Oversee the preparation and review of HQ financial statements in compliance with US GAAP and IFRS.
Manage the financial reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies and procedures.
Lead the general ledger activities and ensure accurate and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Provide technical accounting guidance and support to the finance team.
Ensure compliance with all internal and external financial reporting requirements.
Collaborate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audit processes.
Monitor and analyze accounting data to produce financial reports or statements.
Enhance the accounting team’s effectiveness by implementing and maintaining best practices.
Manage and develop a team of five accounting professionals and leaders.
Work closely with senior and executive leadership to support strategic initiatives.
Collaborate with foreign subsidiaries to guide and advise on accounting policy initiatives.

  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting and reporting roles
  • Extensive knowledge and application of US GAAP is required
  • Proficiency in OneStream software
  • Demonstrated experience in Corporate Consolidation
  • Proven expertise in Financial Reporting and External Reporting Requirements
  • Should have strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary
  • Should possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master’s degree and their active CPA license.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • High ethical standards and professionalism, with a commitment to confidentiality.
