Description:

TRI POINTE HOMES IS LOOKING FOR AN EXPERIENCED, ENTHUSIASTIC INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN OUR TALENTED GROUP AS DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS AUTOMATION.

Position Highlights: The Director of Business Automation will lead Tri Pointe Homes efforts in driving digital transformation through AI-powered automation, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), QA Automation, MuleSoft Integration, and Data Engineering. This is a strategic leadership role tasked with using technology to drive growth, scalability, and competitive advantage. The role involves leveraging cutting-edge technologies, including generative AI and machine learning, to streamline, automate, and optimize business processes. The Director will focus on delivering innovative solutions that drive efficiency, enhance decision-making, improve operational performance, and generate significant return on investment (ROI).

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in business automation, AI, data engineering, or technology leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of implementing AI-driven automation, machine learning models, RPA, and data engineering solutions that drive process optimization and operational efficiency.
  • Expertise in AI/ML technologies such as natural language processing (NLP), computer vision, generative AI, and predictive analytics.
  • Strong experience with RPA tools (e.g., UiPath, Automation Anywhere) and their application in automating complex business processes.
  • Expertise with QA automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JUnit) and integrating automated testing into development pipelines.
  • Proven experience with MuleSoft integration for automating business workflows and connecting enterprise applications.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering and analytics, with experience in building scalable data pipelines and using AI/ML models to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Exceptional leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Certification in AI, machine learning, or automation technologies.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and advanced data analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
  • Knowledge of AI ethics, data privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks.

Responsibilities:

  • Automation Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive automation strategy that incorporates AI, RPA, QA Automation, MuleSoft Integration, and Data Engineering. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation across the organization, focusing on driving innovation and efficiency at scale.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Build and lead a high-performing team of data engineers, RPA developers, QA automation specialists, and integration experts. Provide mentorship and guidance, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration within the team. Encourage innovation, continuous learning, and the adoption of emerging technologies.
  • AI-Based Automation & Machine Learning: Lead the implementation of AI and machine learning solutions to optimize business processes and enable smarter decision-making. Utilize AI technologies, including generative AI, to automate complex tasks, enhance customer experiences, and drive innovation across the organization.
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA): Oversee the development and deployment of RPA solutions to automate repetitive, manual tasks, reducing operational costs and improving efficiency. Collaborate with functional leaders & business units to identify RPA opportunities and deliver solutions that generate measurable value and ROI.
  • QA Automation: Work collaboratively with the Tri Pointe Homes QA and Managed Service Vendors to implement automation efforts to ensure high-quality software development and faster release cycles. Integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline to enhance productivity and ensure the delivery of reliable and scalable solutions.
  • MuleSoft Integration: Work collaboratively with MuleSoft integration team to create seamless connections between enterprise applications, APIs, and services. Ensure that MuleSoft is leveraged to automate workflows, streamline data flows, and reduce operational silos across the organization.
  • Process Optimization & Innovation: Continuously analyze, streamline, and optimize business processes using cutting-edge technology. Implement scalable, AI-driven automation solutions that reduce complexity, enhance efficiency, and support business growth. Foster a culture of innovation that encourages continuous improvement and exploration of new technologies.
  • Driving Growth & ROI: Align automation initiatives with the company’s growth and operational strategies, delivering measurable improvements in performance, cost savings, and revenue generation. Regularly report on the financial impact of automation initiatives, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and ROI metrics.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with IT, operations, product, and business teams to ensure automation efforts are aligned with business objectives. Serve as the primary liaison between technical teams and stakeholders to deliver solutions that meet business needs and drive value.
  • Automation Governance & Best Practices: Establish and enforce best practices, governance frameworks, and security protocols for automation initiatives. Ensure that all automation solutions are compliant with data privacy regulations and internal policies while maintaining high standards of security and reliability.
  • Vendor & Technology Partner Management: Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers to ensure the successful implementation of automation projects. Evaluate and select tools and platforms that align with the organization’s automation strategy and drive long-term value.
